history of male nude photography 134

John Palatinus was born in Idaho in 1929; his work was legendary becouse it was believed for many years it had been missed. Palatinus worked in his studios in Northern Indiana and New York photographing young bodybuilders when it was illegal to send even seminude photographs through the U.S. mail. He has been published on numerous physique magazines of the era as "Tomorrow's Man". In early 1959 all of Palatinus' cameras, equipment, negatives, prints and clients' lists were confiscated during highly-publicized raids by N.Y. Police Department, and never returned. He later worked as art director for fashion and interior design. The first exhibition of John Palatinus' work has been set up in 2010.
