Guy Maddin (born February 1956) is a Canadian screenwriter, director and film editor. His most distinctive quality is his penchant for recreating the look and style of silent and early sound era films which has solidified his popularity and acclaim in alternative film circles. He is actress Isabella Rossellini's brother. "Sissy Boy Slap Party or The Coming Terror" has been realized in 1995.
