Il fotografo Peter Breen vive e lavora a Londra, ha realizzato una serie di autoritratti provocatori dove, a volte, indossa soltanto scarpe da ginnastica, calzettoni o qualche accessorio per travestimenti come parrucche e baffi finti. Potrebbero sembrare soltanto fotografie morbosamente autoreferenziali e private ma è una interessante ricerca sulla bellezza maschile osservata attraverso una lente gay. Breen gioca con il maschile e il femminile, a volte gli scatti sono perfettamente costruiti a volte sembrano candid shots a volte sbagliati. London based photographer Peter Breen has been doing a provocative series of self portraits for years now, sometimes only in sneakers and socks or bits of costuming. It's an interesting statement on male beauty viewed through a queer lens, his work seems voyeuristically private. He toys with the masculine and the feminine with well constructed images or, sometimes, candid shots which seem totally wrong.
