is born in Czechoslovakia in 1948, in 1967 shortly after his graduation from High school emigrates to the USA and starts working as a makeup artist for famous fashion photographers and for magazines like Vogue, Bazaar, Donna, Seventeen, Mademoiselle and many others. In 1984 Roberto works as a freelance photographer in New York; in 1990 he returns to Prague working as a creative director for the Czech edition of Elle and as a photographer. 
Since 1992 Roberto Vano has exposed his work in many exhibitions. Considered a Master of photography, 
Vano has published 6 books.
