"Der subjektive Mann" is a photographic study on the beauty of the male form. After Renaissance, after Leonardo and Michelangelo, one of the most interesting new photographers and artists, German Joachim Baldauf, tries to investigate and understand if nowadays the naked male body is still considered a source of beauty and perfection as it happened 700 years ago. In a period of 3 years, he has photographed around 200 men between 18 and 70 years old, showing men as natural beings, transcending the individuality, personality, life story and emotions of the person. What does still rest? A mirror. The work is available as a 140 pages photobook at Printkultur, 21x14 cm, €42. (Thanks to BeautifulMag).
