William Markly Nixon III was one of the most popular golden boys of physique modeling from 1955 thru the late 1960s; born in 1936 in Georgia, winner of a "Tomorrow's Man" contest in 1955 when 18 years old, Mark Nixon has appeared on dozens of various beefcake magazines and photographed by most of the leading photographers as Bob Mizer (AMG), Bruce of L.A., Don Whitman (WPG), Kris of Chicago. In 1959 Mark started to work in fashion design in Los Angeles with his own brand of swimwear and accessories, and opened a photography studio. In 1998 he was murdered by his young male partner at his home in Mexico.
