Born and raised in suburban Southern California, 
Ed Olen started photographing the forgotten buildings in downtown Los Angeles in the late 90's. From there, his travels have taken him to New York, Paris, London, Istanbul, Rome, Florence, Venice; in 2000, Ed began showing my work in restaurants, bookstores, and coffee shops in Laguna Beach, Long Beach, and Solana Beach. 2003 was his first summer exhibiting at the Sawdust Art Festival & Festival of the Arts. 2002 Ed opened a fine art photography gallery in Laguna Beach, after 3 years, he closed the gallery to focus on portraiture and fashion photography. 
Actually Ed Olen is one of the leading photographers on the West Coast. Works have been included in Bruno Gmunder's anthologies 
"Turnon: tattos" and 
"Brief Encounters".
