Carlos Arias Sotelo 
was born in Mexico in 1985; in 1995, with parents and sister, migrated to Phoenix, Arizona. Taking one semester of photography the last year of high school, Carlos discovered the fascination of portraiture; in 2004 spent many months in the darkroom, in 2005 began to experiment with the digital format and post-production highly influenced by the works of Pedro Virgil, David LaChapelle, Pierre & Gilles. At the age of 20 Carlos created "Carlos Arias Photography" specialising in commercial campaigns and fashion; usually creates all aspects of his shoots, model selection, location and set design, styling/makeup, and post-production of the images. 
DNA has chosen Carlos as Photographer of the Month in January 2009; 
in 2011 he has published the Rodney Santiago's wall calendar.
