Walter Kurtz is born in New Milford, Pennsylvania, in 1960. He started taking photos when he was in 6th grade, an interest and hobby that grew into much more after he moved to New York in 1983, at the age of 23. In 2004 shot his first portrait in a style which has become his signature: sharp contrasts and a golden light to accentuate the shapes of the body and make it come out of the dark. 
Walter Kurtz is absolutely one of the best photographers in the world, this first page is dedicated to the "golden" nudes.
