In 2009 "ESPN" created an event by releasing for the first time a special issue devoted to the beauty of the body sculpted by the practice of high performance sport. "The body issue" had six different covers respecting the principle of gender equality and has been repeated in the subsequent year. The first number of the bi-weekly american sport magazine was published on March 1998, covers the major sports and typically takes a more light-hearted and humorous approach to sporting news compared to competitors as "Sports Illustrated". It's interesting becouse it has a great attention to good photography and famous photographers (Peggy Sirota, Matthias Vriens, to mention a few) always create great images. "ESPN The Magazine" is published 26 times a year with an annual newsstand price of $121.76. http://insider.espn.go.com/insider/espn-the-magazine/
