history of male nude photography 121

John Palatinus, born in 1929, from 1954 to 1959, worked in his studios in Northern Indiana and New York City, photographing young male bodybuilders. His photographs were published in numerous physique magazines as Tomorrow's Man. In early 1959 all cameras, equipment, negatives and photographs were confiscated by the New York Police Department in highly-publicized raids and never returned. For some decades his work was almost forgotten but now has been re-discovered and displayed in books, magazines and art galleries from Paris, Berlin and Antwerp to San Francisco, Los Angeles and Palm Springs. http://www.john-palatinus.com/about.htm
